Things to know about your stay

On arrival, you can move into your room from 3 pm. On the day of departure, we ask that you vacate your room by 11am at the latest. A later departure is possible on request and for an additional charge.

A bath bag with bathrobes and slippers is available in your room. As the storage facilities in the wellness area are limited, we recommend that you change in your room.

We change your bed linen every three Conferences. On request and for a fee, more often. Simply contact reception or housekeeping for this.

We will be happy to arrange an appointment for you at the local hairdresser. Just let us know at reception. On request, our porter will drive you there and pick you up again afterwards. Price per journey: CHF 10.

Discover the charming hilly landscape of Appenzell by e-bike. You can hire e-bikes from us at the hotel (CHF 35 for half a day and CHF 45 for a full day). Just ask at the reception desk.

The hotel has a modern fire alarm system. You will find an escape route plan and the separate information sheet for fire emergencies on your room door.

Whether strength or coordination training, in our fitness room you will find the infrastructure for targeted development. The 40m2 room is equipped with the latest Technogym equipment and offers you all the amenities you need for a successful workout.

Your well-behaved pet is welcome to stay with us. We charge CHF 25 per day without food. Please note that dogs are not allowed in the wellness area - thank you for your understanding.

You can buy toothpaste, toothbrushes and razors at our reception desk.

Would you like to cool something? Please contact reception or our housekeeper. We will be happy to bring a small fridge to your room on request.

In all our rooms you will find a Nespresso machine that offers you a delicious cup of coffee at any time. The perfect treat to start the day or for a little break in between.

Whether it's a facial treatment, pedicure or fresh make-up - our beauticians will pamper you with care and style. You can find our range of services here - we are happy to provide you with a personal consultation at the spa desk.

In our in-house library you will find a selection of different books and illustrated books, which you are welcome to borrow free of charge. In our hotel lobby you will find a selection of different daily newspapers.

If your room is equipped with a minibar, the drinks in it are free of charge for you.

Are you tense? Treat yourself to a soothing massage. You can find our wide range of treatments here. We are also happy to advise you at our spa desk.

There is a night light with sensor under your bed. It switches on automatically as soon as you put your foot on the floor.

With the OSKAR guest card, you benefit from numerous advantages in the region. The guest card can be purchased at reception for CHF 17 per day from three Conferences.

You can use our hotel's own parking spaces in the car park (approx. 70 m from the hotel). We charge CHF 20 per day. We charge CHF 5 per day for outdoor parking spaces. In the blue zone in front of the hotel, you can park free of charge for one hour with the blue parking disc.

We distribute incoming mail at 8 a.m. in the morning and 5 p.m. in the evening. If you would like to send something, please drop by reception.

We kindly ask you to refrain from smoking in all public areas and in our hotel rooms.

All our rooms are equipped with a safe. You can programme this with your personal code.

In addition to the room door, your key card also opens the main entrance to the hotel and the door to the wellness area.

You will find shoe polish in your cupboard by the laundry bag.

On request, we can equip your room with a telephone.

About 140 metres from the hotel is our bike room. There you can park your bike safely, charge it and use a small selection of tools free of charge.

Are you warm in your room? Please contact the reception or our housekeeper and we will bring a fan to your room.

For dirty laundry, you will find a laundry bag and the "laundry bill" form in your room cupboard. Please label the bag with your room number and place it clearly visible on the bed with the form. Make a note on the laundry bill of the number of items you would like to have washed. Your laundry will be returned to you freshly washed and ironed within 24 hours. Please hand in laundry for dry cleaning at reception.

Valuables in the room safe are insured up to an amount of CHF 5000. We cannot insure cash. Please deposit larger amounts at the reception desk.

You can pay your bill conveniently on departure in cash or with major credit cards. On request, we can issue a separate invoice for your health insurance or insurance company. Insurance credit notes cannot be accepted as payment. You can claim insurance premiums for spa stays by presenting the receipt to your insurance company immediately after the end of your spa treatment.

Whether breakfast, snacks for in-between meals or dinner: You can also enjoy our delicacies in your room. You can order from 7.00 am to 10.00 pm in person or by telephone on +41 71 89815 15. We charge a surcharge of CHF 5.00 per order.
