The trip by cable car to the summit of the Säntis takes an unforgettable 10 minutes. The cars run all year round. People from all over the world meet in the sheltered vista points, on the large sun terraces and on the easy paths to the summit. Two large panorama restaurants, shops and exhibitions invite visitors to stay with typical Appenzell hospitality. Events include unique offers such as romantic trips under a full moon, emotional early-morning trips to watch the sun rise and many other attractive packages. Meals can be combined with a trip in the cable car for a special price, and if it’s your birthday you can take a trip to the summit and back at half price.

Experience nature, culture and the traditions of this unique region at the Schwägalp/Säntis nature adventure park. A guide system leads you past all of the attractions along the five exciting themed trails and places of interest have written information boards. Right near the Säntis, you can visit the geology rock park where the Earth’s history comes alive as a fascinating adventure.
